台灣小姐於2010年一月一日在美國參加第121屆巴沙迪那市世界聞名的玫瑰花車大遊行(Tournament of Roses Parade)，由世界台灣小姐皇后蘇凱馨
(Miss Taiwan World Queen Kaisarine Candy Su)乘坐世界博覽會(World Expo)花車，宣揚台灣，為台灣爭光。
當天世界博覽會花車上的安排，有五位貴賓。一位是世界台灣小姐皇后蘇凱馨，世界亞洲小姐Karen Yang，國際明星成龍(香港)，和兩位美國職業運動
肩帶，讓全世界都可以看到，台灣在世界級的場合不缺席，整個大遊行除了地主國美國國旗以外，沒有一面外國國旗，而人與人之間距離拉近，共同來
慶祝一年的開始。
自西元2000來，台灣小姐們本著台灣小姐基金會的傳統宗旨，促進台灣在國際間的良好關係與多元化交流，提昇台灣人的形象及地位，增進台灣人與其
台灣小姐們應邀，一年分批參加數十個一連串有趣而富意義的活動，其中包括台灣參加國慶大遊行與慶典，並拜訪台灣政府及民間團體，也包括每年十
餘次各地著名遊行，如華府與洛杉磯的美國國慶大遊行，墨西哥節慶大遊行，中國城，日本城，韓國城，聖誕節，新年遊行。台灣小姐們遊行的芳踪遍
及大小城市如華府，洛杉磯，蒙市，阿罕布拉，核桃市，羅蘭市，奇諾市，史丹頓等等，十一年來從無間斷。與不同的族裔與國家的人在一起，建立了
深厚的友誼與國民外交。
台灣小姐基金會是一個獨立的專業機構，走的是單純正統選美路線，注重的是文化與友誼，十一年來培養了無數的青年才俊，也結交了許多朋友，有政
商演藝名人，各個年齡，階層與族裔。
台灣小姐們有時雖然辛苦，但其中的樂趣，成就與驕傲是筆墨無法形容，能夠以台灣小姐的身分為台灣及社會做點有意義的事情，是多麼令人雀躍的事
呀？當路人對他們一句謝謝，鄉親們的一句肯定，一切也都值得。
世界台灣小姐皇后蘇凱馨年初一早上一點就起床，趕緊化妝打扮，四點就趕到玫瑰花車大遊行會場，一直在忙著接受各界媒體的訪問，民眾與鄉親的照
相。當場影視明星很多，她也很興奮的與他們合照，露肩的禮服單薄，洛杉磯的清晨冷得她直打哆索，蘇媽媽為她準備了一件大衣，蘇凱馨堅持不穿，
她說不能把肩帶蓋起來，因為那上面繡有她心愛的「台灣」，好不容易等到花車開動，兩小時的遊行下來，她說兩支手一直揮舞，酸得快要掉下來了。
連續的微笑，面頰的肌肉笑得快要抽筋。當大家問她值不值得，她說一路上都有鄉親認出她，為她加油打氣，讓她覺得很溫馨，很值得。她爸爸蘇俊成
與蘇媽媽也對她誇獎有加也對這次的活動非常肯定。台灣小姐基金會與台灣小姐們對台灣的愛心，用心，努力與成就不容置疑。

Aboard the float alongside Miss Taiwan World Queen Kaisarine Candy Su were action movie star Jackie Chen, US Commissioner
General Jose Villarreal, basketball coach Jim Lefebvre, and Miss Asia International Karen Yang. Rose Parade was broadcasted to
Kaisarine Su for a good job well done! Many of our dear friends helped and supported to make this happen, we thank you all!
Formed in 1928, Bureau of International Expositions (BIE) is the governing body of the World Exposition (World Expo). The event is
hosted by a different city every other year. World Exposition 2008 was held in Zaragoza, Spain. World Exposition 2010 will be held in
Shanghai, China from May thru October this year. World Exposition 2012 will be held in Yeosu, South Korea. See List of World

confirmed their participation in Expo 2010. No country should miss the great opportunity to promote itself at this event. Taiwan is one of
the participating countries. The Taiwan Pavilion has already been completed in December 2009. 70 million people from over the world
are expected to visit the Exposition 2010.
