The history of Miss Taiwan Pageant began in 2000 with the primary goal of
promoting Taiwanese culture to young Taiwanese Americans and to the peoples
around the world. The pageant is organized by the Miss Taiwan Foundation
which receives support from its many hard working volunteers and generous
sponsors. One of the foremost responsibilities of Miss Taiwan is to take on the
role of representing the foundation as its ambassador to build relations and
engage in productive interactions with other communities. Other mission goals
include:

台灣小姐TM選拔又名台美小姐TM選拔，早在2000年創立。其中重要的任務之一就是
配合2000年的美國人口普查的工作。多年來歷屆台灣小姐一直本著台灣小姐TM基金
會傳統宗旨，
